Target/Day controls what counts toward your daily goals
Target/Day must be greater than 0 for a food to count toward daily target calories, daily target cost, and weekly cost projections. A target of 0 means the food is still loggable but excluded from all targets.
Hiding a food removes it from tracking but keeps it saved
Hide removes a food from the daily tracker, daily cost target, and expected weekly cost. The food stays in storage and can be restored any time with Show.
Barcode scanning a food/product is not always accurate
The barcode scanner uses a community driven food library and may not always provide accurate nutritional information. Always double-check the details before logging a food item.

Where Your Data Is Stored

Foop keeps everything — foods, logs, weight, programs, exercises, settings — locally in this browser, not on a server. Nothing leaves your device, but that also means clearing your browser's site data/cookies for this page, using private browsing, or uninstalling the browser can permanently erase your data. Export a backup below every so often to stay safe.

Data Backup

Export all your data — foods, weight, programs, exercises, history, and settings — as a single JSON file. Use this to transfer everything to a new device.

Data Restore

Import a Foop backup file to restore your data. This will overwrite all existing data and cannot be undone.
